~ SYLPH ~ The narrowboat Sylph was built for the OwnerShips fleet in 1996/7 and is in shared ownership, divided into twelve shares : each share entitles its owner to a guaranteed two weeks high-season and one week low-season cruising the canals, plus extra weeks as and when available. Sylph is 58 feet long and so can go anywhere on the British canal network - our previous experiences with 70-foot boats has made us realise that bigger is not always better! She sleeps six in comfort, (seven at a pinch if they are good friends and prepared to share) in a king-sized bed, a double converted from the sofa and two armchairs which fold out into comfortable single beds.
