The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) comes into effect in the UK on May 25th 2018. It is designed to protect individuals from having their personal information (data) stored and used unscrupulously for purposes other than they intended and without their knowledge.  

The only way it affects this website is via its mailing list: if you have signed up for my mailing list, you have effectively given me your permission for the data (your name and contact details) you have voluntarily submitted to be used by me to contact you. It has not been, nor ever will be, passed on to anyone else.

If you wish to remain on my contact list, you just need to contact me on the email link here and simply state “please keep my data” and that is sufficient consent. If however you wish to leave, please email me to that effect and request that your data be deleted and it will be done.
